For the last 7 months I’ve been attending a yoga class at Shakti Yoga Mandir, and it is an incredibly refreshing and grounding experience. The instructor, Chhaya, is knowledgeable, patient, and welcoming to all levels, which made me feel comfortable as a beginner.
The flow of the class was perfectly paced—starting with gentle stretches to warm up, moving into surya namaskar and more challenging poses, and concluding with a deeply relaxing savasana. Chhaya provides excellent cues and adjustments to help everyone achieve the correct alignment, and I appreciate the focus on breathwork throughout the session.
Yoga has helped me to improve my physical health, strength and neck related issues while it has also helped me with stress reduction and emotional balance.
